Objective of Laptop Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2024

Department of Labour, Skill Development and Employment has implemented several schemes for economic upliftment and support of construction workers. Gujarat labor welfare board and Building and other construction worker’s welfare board are working for the implementation of this scheme. Gujarat Shramyogi Kalyan Board has implemented a scheme to assist construction workers students in purchasing laptops to help them in higher studies. The main objective of this scheme is that students can get help in the course related to their project and technical subjects and the student can make his career successful.

Assistance under Laptop Assistance Scheme 2024

Students are assisted to purchase laptops for higher studies under Laptop Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2023, 50% of the laptop purchase price or ₹ 25,000/- whichever is less.

 For example, if the price of a laptop is ₹ 60,000/- then 50% of it is ₹ 30,000/-. But as per the provisions of the rules, taking into account the purchase price of the laptop at ₹ 50,000/-, the student here will be eligible for assistance of 50% of the purchase price of the laptop or ₹ 25,000/- whichever is less. That means the student will be eligible for an aid of ₹ 25,000/-.

Eligibility of Beneficiary

Professional and Design MBBS/R Medicinal/Homeopathic/Physiotherapy/Pharmacy and Professional Degree Courses like Mechanic/Electrical/Electrical and CA/ICWA/ICF. Shramyogi students admitted in A./ CS courses can apply under laptop assistance scheme.

 Students who have secured 70% and above overall percentile in the class 12 board examination in the year 2024 will get the benefit of this scheme.

 The benefit of this scheme will be given only to the children of Shramyogi working in factories/institutions located in the state of Gujarat

 The labor welfare fund of the concerned parent for the last one year should be deposited at the Labor Office by the factory or organization where the parent of the student is working.

 The laptop should be purchased in the student’s name.

 Application has to be made within six months after purchasing the laptop.

 Bill number, date, GST number, amount and laptop serial number should be clearly legible otherwise the application will not be accepted.

 A student who is admitted to study abroad after completing class 12, will not be given the benefit of this scheme.

 Evidence of having given interest exam for admission in CA will not be accepted.

 The money will be credited directly to the student’s bank account through DBT.

Documents for Laptop Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2024

• A copy of the identity card issued by the company to the student’s father Shramyogi.
• Copy of the student’s 12th mark sheet.
• Copy of admission allotment letter of the profession or designing course admitted.
•  Receipt from Admission Committee or concerned college.
•  Xerox of first page of student’s canceled check or bank passbook.
• Copy of student’s Aadhaar card.
• Aadhar card copy of Shram Yogi.
•  The receipt of last year’s labor welfare deposit must also be submitted.
•  Bonafide Certificate.
